Rancho Los Alamitos, the “Ranch of the Little Cottonwoods,” is owned by the people of Long
Beach and operated by the Rancho Los Alamitos
Foundation under a public/private cooperative venture. The Foundation is responsible for the public programming, historic preservation and restoration of the site.
The mission of Rancho Los Alamitos is public education. The site and its core educational programs and events are available free to the public. The Rancho Center and recently completed Barns Area restoration provide new opportunities to experience the Rancho – a place for all time and all people. Proceeds from this event support the educational programs of Rancho Los Alamitos.

RECEPTION IN THE NEW RANCHO CENTER
Enjoy the Visitor Orientation video, the Exhibit Room and the Rancho Room with dramatic floor-to-ceiling wall murals and hand-painted floor map. Then stroll out to the barnyard and enjoy ranch-style entertainment and refreshments.

CALIFORNIA RANCH BARBEQUE BUFFET
Feast on a California ranching tradition in the
Fred Bixby style, by our Executive Chef Pierre Barit, with an outdoor "Open Spit-Fire Grill" featuring the ultimate tri-tip, (recipe courtesy of Russ Parsons, Food Editor of the Los Angeles
Times), barbequed chicken, ranch-style enchiladas and vegetables on the grill.

Treat yourself to a walk through the Rancho’s

the meticulously restored adobe-core ranch house.
