Rancho Los Alamitos offers engaging third- and fourth-grade field trip programs that complement California’s history and social science curriculum. School visits are always free-of-charge, and transportation scholarships are available for in-person tours. Explore the opportunities below!

3RD GRADE: Tovaave: A Tongva Cultural Program   4TH GRADE: Footprints on the Land

Tovaave centers on the history of the Indigenous people of the Los Angeles Basin, the Tongva, and their vibrant cultural practices today. The Tovaave Program will remain virtual for the 2022-2023 school year. Please contact us at schools@RanchoLosAlamitos.org for access instructions.

Footprints on the Land explores the site’s ranch house, gardens, and barnyard in connection to larger themes in California history, including diversity, change, and resilience. In-person and virtual options are fully booked for the 2022-2023 school year.
